The Child-rearing Support Center
The Child-rearing Support Center is a place where parents can consult on issues related to raising children.
Whether you come to play or for a consultation, all our services are free. However, there are small costs for
the use of cooking and handicraft materials.
Open playtime at the center: (AKA NIKO-NIKO HIROBA)
At the Child-rearing Support Center
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00am to 3:00pm
Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm
At the POPPO HOIKUSHO in Maeda town
The second Wednesday of each month from 10:00am to 11:30am
Feel free to visit the center any time during business hours. You may come and go as you please.
The center holds a monthly birthday party for all children celebrating a birthday that month. Please join us!

Childcare counseling
Childcare counseling is available, Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm by
telephone and one to one interview (at the center or at your home). If you have a problem, or even if you
just want to complain about something, please feel free to give us a call. Tel: 0986-22-1659
When you visit the center
On your first visit, please fill out an information card. When you visit the center, plase write your child’s name
in the list of participants. Please attach a name tag, or write your name on duct tape and affix it to your arm
or back and let’s enjoy playing and talking with each other.
Meals
You may bring and eat a lunch at the center. We ask that you please make use of the lounge (the room on
the west side of the building) during lunch. This room can be used for group talks or other interactive
discussions.
Lending picture books
You can read our picture books at home! Please let us know if you want to borrow anything.
Garbage
The Center asks that you please carry all trash (diapers and so on) back to your home for proper disposal.
Parking
Please consult the map for the location of the nearest parking lot.
Parking is available on the grounds, and there is room for thirteen cars on the east side of the center.
Please note that the center cannot be held responsible for accidents or damage caused to vehicles..
Child-rearing Circles
We have four circles now around the city. Parents and children can have fun doing things together.
ANPANMAN: Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:00pm at the Tsumagaoka Community Center
HIMAWARI: Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:00pm at the Iwayoshi Community Center
PIYOPIYO: Thursdays from 10:30am to 12:00pm at the Choujukan
MICKEY: Thursdays from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Yokoichi Community Center

Please take care to monitor your child’s safety and do not take your eyes off your child. In order to ensure
the safety of all children present, please call out to each other, and let’s all play together and have a good
time.
