Information for Foreigners Living in Miyakonojo The City of Miyakonojo has created a Guide for Foreigners Living in Miyakonojo. This contains important information regarding emergency procedures, everyday life, taxes, alien registration, driving in Japan, healthcare, etc... There is a full (A4) version, and a smaller (A5) portable version. The portable version is bilingual (English/Japanese) and is set up so the English is directly across from the Japanese. Printed versions of these are available at the Internationalization Section of Miyakonojo City Hall (on the second floor, beyond the elevators and on the right). The Full Version is no longer being produced, as we are focusing our attention on creating a useful and portable guide that foreign residents can easily carry around. The city-created guide contains basic information that is relevant to living in Miyakonojo.
Full Version (PDF) Portable Version (PDF) Useful if you want to print it out and carry with you, as it contains Japanese as well (A5). English-only Portable Version (PDF) The above portable guide minus the Japanese pages. Easier to read online.
